internships
Capricious accepts applications for unpaid internships on a rolling basis.
We are currently seeking candidates for unpaid internships in WINTER 2013. Interns should be able to commit 1-2 days per week, approximately 11am-5pm. This internship is unpaid but lunch is provided and in some situations school credit may be arranged.
Responsibilities will range from social media assistance to magazine production, with a focus on distribution research and correspondence, as well as some light bookkeeping. Daily tasks include general organization and maintenance of the work space and magazine stock, local errands, and data entry (submission archives and mailing lists).
Applicants must have a background in art and/or photography and willingness to do entry-level intern work, while being provided with unique exposure to the inner-workings of a magazine. Ideal candidates are trustworthy recent grads with positive energy, keen organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Mac applications and Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign & Photoshop) is desirable.
