As the NY Art Book Fair approaches, the New York Times wrote of some favorites not to be missed! Returning for its fifth year, the fair boasts over 200 publications and independent presses packing the galleries of PS.1 from November 5th to the 7th. We hope you stop by and say hello!

Capricious
Like many vendors at the fair, Capricious is multifaceted: a publishing house, art space, bookstore and bi-annual publication. The fair will introduce Capricious’s 11th issue, “Being Fashion,” a special volume created by the Dutch fashion designer and art director Joff, featuring artists Aaron McElroy, Daniel Gordon and Todd Fisher. Capricious will also present its new queer arts zine, Randy, with contributions from Cass Bird and Amy Sillman.

RANDY Launch Party TONIGHT! @ GHE20 GOTHIK

Sophie Mörner and A.K. Burns have been hard at work on a new periodical, and finally Capricious Publishing is proud to announce the inaugural issue of RANDY!  The magazine is a personal and nepotistic project of the people close to the duo, as well of those they have yet to meet!  This first issue features works and contributions by: Cass Bird, Christelle de Castro, Edie Fake, Shannon Funchess, Luke Gilford, Katherine Hubbard, Mariana Juliano, Lee Maida, MPA, Ulrike Müller, Sheila Pepe, Melissa Shimkovitz, Jazmin Venus Soto, Wu Tsang, Leilah Weinraub, amd iO Tillet Wright. RANDY is a feminist celebration and critique of the queer arts. So if you are a feminist, a queer art enthusiast, or just someone who enjoys a good party, then stop by to celebrate with us! The Release Party will take place tonight, Wednesday September 22nd from 9-11pm at CLUB GHE20 G0THIK (120 Orchard St. in New York). Entrance is free before 11pm for all guests of RANDY and will feature music by DJs Venus X, $hayne, Physical Therapy, Brenmar, Dubble Dutch, and Azizaman & Pasternak! We hope to see you all there!!!
