Leidy Churchman’s “The Meal of the Lion” at the Murray Guy Gallery

Randy #2 contributor Leidy Churchman currently has an exhibit entitled The Meal of the Lion at the Murray Guy Gallery in New York. This new body of work is inspired by Henri Rousseau’s 1907 painting The Repast of the Lion. Churchman recreates the painting and deconstructs it using it as a the starting point to what he calls an “extraordinary junkyard” of symbols.

The Meal of the Lion is on view until June 6 at 453 West 17th Street in New York, NY.
