California born Photographer Evan Jenkins received his BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2010 and currently lives and works in the city of Chicago.
Jenkins’ work gives both, the viewer and himself as the creator, a unique visual and mental experience. He draws his inspiration from a wide range of sources, stemming from music/a particular record, a period in art history, a book he is currently reading, to mundane everyday moments that most people would generally disregard. In 2010, Jenkins self published a book titled A Fly In The Ointment, which deals with the reality of facing death, the banality of daily routine, and the sheer inconceivability of non existence. The book is available here.
